Unnamed creature
How do we deal with the creative process? When does creation really happen? Where do we stand?
Unnamed Creature is a research laboratory. The participants will contribute questions and certainties derived from their experience to begin to shape a scenic proposal (our creature). We apply a proven investigative methodology in some of our creations.
We begin with a starting point where we confront the possibilities of sensitive material for creation, dismantling very compact concepts and constructing apparently vague images. We will give importance to the ways of documenting our processes and how they favor the self-evaluation of our proposals.
During the exploration we open a space that favors the constant search for alternatives to our ideas, from everyday life to abstraction, seriousness or lightness, the superficial or the deep, always in search of food for our creature to whom we are shaping.
Uncertainty and chaos are moments that occur in every creative process. We will explore mechanisms to remain calm and regain control of our process.
We close the laboratory by engaging in a process of editing the material that emerged throughout a process in which the facilitators have acted as additional voices, eyes and minds for the development of individual processes.
OBJECTIVES
-Examine our methodologies and the strategies we use towards the creative process.
-Expand our starting points before the creative process.
-Provide new inputs for the planning and development of creative tools.
