Behind the scenes

::behind the scenes - workshop/masterclass based on the movement research related to the creative process of the movement installation Camille.

During the masterclass Lívia will introduce to the participants the premises of her latest creative process: "Laboratory in the Shadow". Lívia will work with the materialization of the work and at the same time its destruction.

The quote from Louise Bourgeois: “I do, I undo, I redo,” very accurately describes this cyclical nature of creation. It is a process of creation, destruction and remaking. It is a process that captures the essence of the laboratory method of creation.

During the proposed sessions we will challenge our body to its maximum needed power. And we’ll arrive to states of living stillness (sculpture) through high demand movement situations. Embodying stillness through intense movement.

The Masterclass invites professional dancers as well as movement lovers, visual artists, seniors and mothers. There is strength in diversity, and therefore if we manage to create a group of people with different interests, we can learn more from each other.

OBJECTIVES

-Improve physical and creative abilities.

-Provide creative tools to stay focused and relaxed at the same time, coming to the understanding that concentration does not imply stress and relaxation does not mean lack of action.
-Examine our methodologies and the strategies we use towards the creative process.

-Use workout as a trigger to create movement and body communication strategies.

-Stimulate horizontal creation.
